On the morning of 19th November, 2 faculty and 54 students from the Faculty of Tourism at Pancasila University visited University of Sanya (USY). Zhang Yuhong, Director of the International Department of USY, Chen Yangle, DeputyDean of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, as well as other faculty members attended the meeting.
The visiting faculty members and students visited the New Energy and Intelligent Networked Automobile Engineering Centre, Shushan Hall, and walked through theFlowery Island. They were impressed by the scenic campus, teaching facilities, and the humanistic atmosphere at USY. After the campustour, the guests proceeded to the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management for discussions and exchanges with the faculty of School of Tourism and Hospitality management.
Assoc. Prof. Li Jia introduced the growth of Hainan's tourism sector and the talent cultivation the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Dr. Yustisia PasfatimaMbulu’s gave an overview of the achievements, academic programs, industry partnerships, and research outputs of the Faculty of Tourism. Prof. Chen Yangle, deputy dean, noted that Indonesia, with popular tourist destinations like Bali, shares many similarities with Hainan in terms of tourism development. As a master's degree-granting unit of tourism management, he hoped for collaboration between the two universities, particularly in the areas of undergraduate and postgraduate tourism management education. He also extended a warm invitation for more Indonesian students to participate in exchange and study programs at USY.
At the conclusion of the meeting, student representatives from Pancasila University delighted the audience with a vibrant ethnic dance performance, earning them a round of enthusiastic applause. Following this, leaders from both sidesexchanged gifts and gathered for a group photo to mark the special occasion.
